NetObjects Fusion MX Product Updates
The following updates are now available:

Update Contents
Services view now presents four portals and many new resources.
- In Home, you can use the list of recently used sites to open the last edited page, as well as review the number of pages in the site and the dates the site was last updated and published.
- In Services, you can now take advantage of new hosting offers from Earthlink and Verio, and learn about Coolmaps InForm, which can add a form to your site without CGI coding.
- In the new Parts portal, you can find free images from WebSpice, as well as access to SiteStyles, templates, and a wide range of components that can add visual effects and functionality.
- In the new Support portal, you can link quickly to NetObjects support options and documentation.
In Page view, the Services dialog presents options in a more efficient organization when you use the Services tool. Take advantage of the new Coolmaps InForm service, which makes it easy to add an information-gathering form to your site without CGI coding.
In Publish view, the Publish and Publish Settings dialogs now offer to show a Flash movie that explains the publishing process. The Get Web Hosting option in the New Publish Profile dialog now offers Earthlink and Verio hosting as well as DellHost. You can compare offers and sign up either here or in Services view.
From any view, you can now press CTRL+< to navigate to the last view. This restores the function of the Last button that was available in version 5 and earlier.
This release also resolves the following issues.
- NetObjects Fusion is now stable while tiling and displaying background images of one pixel height on computers that use certain graphics cards containing the NVidia chip set.
- The Online Style viewer now downloads SiteStyles more reliably because one unsuccessful download attempt no longer causes subsequent attempts to fail. Also, when you download a SiteStyle that you already have in your NetObjects Fusion MX/Styles folder, the viewer now preserves the local copy until the download concludes successfully.
- In the Shockwave/Flash component properties palette, you can now enter the minimum player version the media requires. If your visitor does not have the minimum player installed, the component offers the option of downloading the current version.
- Control bar buttons are now closer together so that all stacked page buttons remain in view when the display is set to 800x600 resolution.
- Exceptionally long text strings in data fields no longer threaten site file integrity.
- The Rollover component now reliably displays the initial image on a published page.
- The Site Mapper component no longer displays extraneous accented characters in the buttons of the published sitemap.t
- The text in HTML dialogs is no longer truncated when you choose the Large Fonts setting; instead, dialogs are resized.
- After a site re-optimization:
oReferences to custom navigation bar images are preserved
oThe original site file name is preserved, even if the site file name does not match the name of directory where it resides.
- The Site wizard now correctly generates any &, <, or > characters included as text in the Business Name field.
- Reregisters certain code resources (DLLs) with the operating system to ensure that NetObjects Fusion MX can access them, because some DLLs might have been removed from the registry when a previous version of NetObjects Fusion was uninstalled.
- Fixes minor issues in Services view and QuickStart tips.
- The spelling checker no longer skips correcting the first incorrect word.

- QuickStart Tips now include two additional movies: "Publish your Site" and "Structure and Navigation," which shows how to design navigation for your site using MasterBorders.
- Copying and pasting from Microsoft Word and similar applications now more accurately maintain text formatting by using RTF (Rich Text Format) in the clipboard to paste data instead of HTML format.
- The re-optimize feature now maintains all the properties of the original site in the re-optimized site.
- The auto-update feature now solves problems with firewalls by using HTTP download rather than FTP. A progress dialog appears during the download, and you can more easily cancel a lengthy download.
- Site CSS styles are now explicitly migrated when you open an older site, and when you create a site from an older template.
- When importing pages from a site generated by NetObjects Fusion, Site Import now checks the imported pages for inconsistencies, and if needed imports them without MasterBorders and other NetObjects Fusion-specific structures, so that pages appear correctly in Page view.

Fixes these problems encountered on some systems:
- NetObjects Fusion MX froze after checking for updates in Services view.
- When set to check for updates on launch, NetObjects Fusion MX reported that an update was complete when no updates actually took place.
