When installing NetObjects Fusion 5.0, this error message appears. In some cases, the error message will refer to: entry point_lc_collate_cp
What is occurring is the either the MSVCRT.dll file is missing from the windows/system or the windows/system32 directory or the MSVCRT.dll is the incorrect version.
Double check that the version number is 6.0.8397.0
To solve the problem reinstall IE 5.0 as that will have the correct version of the MSVCRT.dll file that NetObjects Fusion 5.0 uses.
System DLLs have to be the exact same version to ensure that you won't have conflicts. NetObjects Fusion 5.0 is picky on the version of some DLLs, such as mscvrt.dll or the mfc42.dll It requires that the latest set of DLLs, 6.x, are installed.
