WYSIWYN interface. The "what you see is what you need" interface enables Web developers and Web development teams to achieve maximum productivity in building and maintaining Web sites. The WYSIWYN interface provides developers with the correct tools needed for the task at hand.
Fast creation and editing of HTML and scripts. Increase user productivity with features such as Tag Insight, Tag Completion, prebuilt templates, Tag Inspector, Tag Tree, Tag Snippets, thumbnail image preview, and color coding. Wizards are included for frames, tables, projects, JavaScript, and other features. A new Style Editor creates and edits Cascading Style Sheets.
One-step deployment system. HomeSite allows easy one-step deployment of entire applications to multiple servers at remote locations.
Visual Tool Extensions. HomeSite users can create VTXs that customize HomeSite interface elements such as tag dialog boxes. VTXs are created in HomeSite using VTML (Visual Tool Markup Language).
ActionScripts. Using JavaScript or VBScript, HomeSite users can create macros for automating HomeSite tasks. HomeSite now exposes its object model (Visual Tool Object Model) and is an OLE server.
