How does nPower work? Web designers use NetObjects Fusion 10 to build their client’s websites. While designing the site in Fusion, the designers set editing protections – they determine whether text can be edited, an image can be moved or whether pages can be added for example.
Once the website has been published, the website owner can take over control of routine editing tasks by using NetObjects nPower. Since the Web designer has already set all of the site’s editing protections and publishing settings, the client can make their changes with complete confidence. And because nPower is completely integrated with NetObjects Fusion 10, designers can import the site back into Fusion 10 at any time to make more extensive modifications – without needing to re-create their client’s modifications.
At this point, some designers are probably thinking, “Sounds great – but what if a client makes changes that they aren’t happy with? Then it’s up to me to fix it, right?" No – nPower has built-in site management controls that Web designers will really appreciate. Since nPower posts dated versions of the site to a repository on the main Web server, rolling back a site to a previous version for whatever reason takes only a few clicks – and can be done by either the site owner or the Web designer.
NetObjects nPower makes the client-designer relationship a true partnership. Designers can now put themselves above the competition by offering an effective content management solution as a standard part of their service at a remarkably low price point.
