Redwood City, CA/Munich, June 17, 1999 – NetObjects, Inc. (NASDAQ:NETO) announced today that is has expanded its European presence with the opening of a new sales office in Munich. The Munich office will serve the newly established Central Europe sales region, encompassing Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Head of the new sales office is Boris Pfeiffer, Director of Sales Central Europe. The Northern and Emerging Markets region will be covered by the UK office in Old Amersham.
NetObjects’ European business is growing steadily - the German market alone accounts for approximately 40 percent. Starting in mid-July, NetObjects will be offering its German customers a German-language version of NetObjects Fusion 4.0. Additionally, the new office in Munich will be offering customers the consulting services of the NetObjects Professional Services Group. These services are designed to provide large enterprises guidance in building their corporate intranets using the NetObjects Authoring Server Suite.

To date, more than 500,000 copies of NetObjects Fusion have been sold and more than one million Web pages and Web sites have been built using this successful product. Versions of NetObjects Fusion have been bundled and promoted by many major corporations including AT&T, Compaq, Compuserve/AOL, T-Online, IBM (WebSphere & IntelliStation), Lotus (Lotus Designer for Domino), Netscape (with Communicator in Netscape Publishing Suite), Novell (NetWare for Small Business), and Strato AG. NetObjects also recently announced bundle agreements with Lotus (Domino R5 Application Studio) and Novell (Small Business Suite 5).
