Eighteen Leading Web Designers and Developers Provide Content for NetObjects Fusion 2.0
Styles, Sounds and Clip Art Enhance Leading Web Site Building Software Application

Redwood City, CA, Feb. 24, 1997 -- NetObjects Inc. today announced that eighteen of the nation's leading Web designers have contributed rich styles and multimedia content to enhance NetObjects Fusion 2.0, NetObjects' award-winning Web site building product shipping today.

The third-party contributions result from NetObjects' mission of creating a community of developers around its core product who provide design content that reflects their unique identities. The new content in 2.0 includes 51 new SiteStyles-headers, footers, banners and buttons-that set the graphical look-and-feel of a Web site, 39 page templates, 7 AutoSites and over 20 MB of plug-in media. Leveraging NetObjects Fusion's intuitive approach, site builders simply apply a new style or drag-and-drop a rich media element with the click of a button.

"The wealth of third-party content in NetObjects Fusion 2.0 brings the power of professional-quality design to all site builders," said Clement Mok, chief creative officer of NetObjects. "The overwhelming response from our contributing Web designers and developers further underscores that NetObjects Fusion is a dominant standard that is supported by a broad community of developers."

The eighteen contributing firms are defining the landscape of Web design today with innovative projects for clients such as Kodak, IBM and NationsBank. Ranging from whimsical to corporate, their SiteStyles have memorable names such as faces, fish tank, hi-fi, body parts and Fred's Bank. They are: agency.com, Audio Images, ArtBeats Software, Bad Dog Media, Broadway Interactive Group, DXM, Data-Ark, Ltd., EarWax Studios, i/o 360, Maus Haus, Media Farm, Nova Development, Phoenix Pop, Siegel & Gale, SpiralMedia, Sprout Communications, Studio Archetype and Treehouse Media.

"There is hardly any other piece of software that makes me smile so much when I use it," said Adam Clark, director of Data-Ark, Ltd. "It is a smug kind of smile, knowing how easy it is to build sites that have rich content but are also individual and smart looking as well. With NetObjects Fusion, I can now paint sites as I see them in my mind's eye."

Since the introduction of NetObjects Fusion 1.0 in September 1996, over 100,000 site builders have downloaded it to build thousands of media-rich Web sites. NetObjects 2.0 is available today for an expected street price of under $500 in North America via Ingram Micro, a network of resellers and VARs and directly from NetObjects. Available for the Windows and Macintosh operating systems, NetObjects Fusion has received wide acclaim including being named one of C/NET's Top Five Internet Products of 1996, Morph's Outpost Daily Spectrum's Best Web Authoring Tool, and has won several awards including New Media Magazine's HyperMedia, PC Magazine's Editors Choice and Publish Magazine's Impact awards.
