Mitsubishi Corporation and NetObjects Join Forces To Provide Award-Winning Web Authoring Software to Japanese Market
Localized Version of NetObjects Fusion Planned for Distribution in Japan

September 18, 1997, Tokyo, Japan and Redwood City, California --
Mitsubishi Corporation and NetObjects, Inc. today announced that they have
reached an agreement to distribute NetObjects' award-winning Web site building
software, NetObjects Fusion, in the Japanese market. NetObjects will
develop and localize the product, while Mitsubishi Corp. will market, distribute and provide the support in Japan.

By appointing Mitsubishi Corp. as its master distributor, NetObjects plans to leverage its success in the United States and Europe as the leading provider of site-oriented Web authoring software, to establish a dominant worldwide position.The Japanese Internet software market is currently estimated to be growing at approximately 200% annually.

"Mitsubishi provides us with the resources of a large company with a strong presence in the information technology segment coupled with the commitment to strategically invest in the growing segment of Internet software," said Samir Arora, NetObjects' Chairman, CEO and Founder. "As a result, we expect that Mitsubishi will help establish a leadership position for NetObjects in Japan through a successful master distributor-vendor relationship."
