September 18, 1997, Tokyo, Japan and Redwood City, California -- Mitsubishi Corporation and NetObjects, Inc. today announced that they have reached an agreement to distribute NetObjects' award-winning Web site building software, NetObjects Fusion, in the Japanese market. NetObjects will develop and localize the product, while Mitsubishi Corp. will market, distribute and provide the support in Japan.
By appointing Mitsubishi Corp. as its master distributor, NetObjects plans to leverage its success in the United States and Europe as the leading provider of site-oriented Web authoring software, to establish a dominant worldwide position.The Japanese Internet software market is currently estimated to be growing at approximately 200% annually.
