WhoWhere? Teams with NetObjects to Bring Site Builders Internet Directory Services
Drop-in templates extend Web site functionality

Mountain View, CA, February 11, 1997 -- In an innovative collaboration between an Internet directory service and a site-building software provider, WhoWhere? and NetObjects, Inc. have teamed up to provide Web site builders a resource to integrate people- and business-search capabilities into their Web sites.

Three of WhoWhere's branded page templates for company, phone and e-mail search are offered within NetObjects Fusion 2.0, the latest version of NetObjects' award-winning site development software product. Web developers have the option of conveniently dropping pre-built directory function templates into their Web sites. NetObjects Fusion ships with 39 page templates, 51 design styles and 7 AutoSites which allow users to easily create page templates and insert them into Web sites.

"One of the most popular uses of the Web is searching for information about people and businesses," said Ashu Roy, president and co-founder of WhoWhere. "By embedding search templates within NetObjects' site-building options, Web developers and designers can now include this convenient feature in their Web site."

Adding directory features to Web pages marks a trend in content creation to facilitate greater value and communication among Internet users. NetObjects Fusion 2.0's drop-in WhoWhere template seamlessly accesses more than 10 million people and business e-mail addresses. With the WhoWhere templates, the Web site of an electronics manufacturer, for example, could lead customers to authorized dealerships in their neighborhood. Similarly, a university Web page could point visitors to other alumni in their state or across the nation.

"More than 100,000 site builders have voted for NetObjects Fusion productivity benefits and its ability to eliminate the tedious aspects of constructing Web sites," said Tom Melcher, vice president of business development. "They have standardized on NetObjects Fusion for site building because we give them the best-of-class functions like WhoWhere's leading search directory."
