Redwood City, Calif., April 6, 1998 - With the announcement of a strategic partnership today, NetObjects, Inc., and Digital Equipment Corporation have joined forces to provide customers a well integrated solution to create and manage sophisticated, e-business Web sites. Under the terms of a co-marketing and bundling agreement, NetObjects' award winning Web site authoring product NetObjects Fusion 3.0, will be bundled with Digital's Creation Studio Web Designer workstation, a complete, "out of the box" software and hardware configuration designed specifically for Web site development.
The Digital-NetObjects collaboration enables Digital to offer millions of business customers worldwide a robust and industrial strength solution for building sophisticated Web sites. NetObjects Fusion 3.0 offers site-builders an open site-building environment, providing flexibility and choice to easily layout pages, control and edit HTML code, add DHTML based interactivity and animation, publish for different browsers, and integrate sites with existing databases and commerce applications to create e-business Web sites. The bundle, which includes a Digital workstation featuring a 333 MHz Pentium II processor, NetObjects Fusion 3.0, Parable's ThingMaker 1.0, and Template Graphics Software's 3Space Publisher, is available immediately for an estimated street price of $4495.
Customers can use NetObjects Fusion 3.0 to easily create Web sites that can seamlessly integrate multimedia content created in complementary products like ThingMaker and 3Space Publisher.
