NetObjects™, Inc. Announces Alliance with HP
Web Authoring Software Leader Chosen As Key Component of New Covision Program

Redwood City, Calif., June 22, 1998 - NetObjects, Inc., the Web site builders' company, today announced that it has been chosen by the Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HWP) as a key component of the new HP Covision program, aimed at providing businesses and corporations integrated Internet-ready solutions through select channel partners. NetObjects joins a group of more than 30 leading Internet application developers and channel partners who have been selected by HP to offer their products and services to businesses looking to leverage the power of the Web.

"We chose to partner with NetObjects because we believe its family of powerful site building software will enable our customers to build a sophisticated business Web presence quickly and cost-effectively," said Greg Mihran, manager of Internet business development for HP's Commercial Channels Organization.

Covision solutions will be formed at the channel and will be targeted at a range of company sizes and business needs, from small businesses that are just getting connected to the Internet to enterprises that are building sophisticated intranets and extranets. The HP program combines three unique ingredients: leading Internet applications; services from certified Internet-ready resellers, systems integrators, and Internet service providers (ISPs); and HP computer technology, including servers, desktops, printers and scanners. Covision channel partners will create these customized solutions to provide customers with the Internet solutions and services their businesses need.

“The combination of HP hardware and NetObjects Fusion software has provided us with a solid solution to deliver powerful and reliable Web sites to our users," said Ted Allen Miller, Manager of Global Finance Web Development at NationsBank. "The fact that NetObjects and HP are now offering an integrated solution brings added confidence that we will be able to continue to support the growing demand for internet and intranet sites."

"As the leading choice of business site builders looking to establish and expand their Web sites and applications, we are delighted to join with a key platform provider of e-commerce solutions," said Mark Patton, NetObjects vice president of corporate marketing and sales. "We believe that the Covision initiative provides customers a comprehensive solution and easy entry to satisfy their spectrum of online requirements."

NetObjects will offer its entire family of products under the Covision initiative including: NetObjects Fusion™ 3.0, an award-winning Web authoring software application aimed at single users, NetObjects TeamFusion™, a client-server product aimed at Web teams and NetObjects ScriptBuilder™, the industry's only open client- and server-side script editor.
