Redwood City, Calif., October 14, 1998 - NetObjects, Inc. today announced the appointment of Scott Shwarts, an accomplished technology entrepreneur with extensive software business experience, as Senior Director of Developer Programs and Evangelism.
Shwarts reports to Dave Kleinberg NetObjects' executive vice president of the desktop products division.
"Scott's knowledge of the Web development market and experience in creating and strengthening alliances with the developer community will be invaluable to NetObjects as it continues to extend its offerings beyond software to provide comprehensive resources tailored to meet the needs of the Web developer community," said Kleinberg.

Prior to joining NetObjects, Shwarts was the founder and managing director of Pensee Corporation, which developed key technologies and products for companies in the U.S. and Europe including Symantec and Apple. Pensee developed applications and technologies for Apple's Newton product and WebCollage, an Internet tool in use on Web sites worldwide. Prior to this, Shwarts formed Symmetry Corporation, a Macintosh software developer and publisher with a number of award winning products including the Acta Outliner.
